Why You Must Experience 10s Western Fashion At Least Once In Your Lifetime | 10s western fashion

The decade of the eighties was an extremely popular one for western fashion. This was because of movies such as Wild Things, Dances With Dragons, Gun Crazy, and others which were highly successful in telling the story of a cowboy's life. Also, during this time period, rock and roll were just starting to take shape. This music would become popular around the world and people would look to express themselves with it. The clothes that were available during this time were influenced by the types of clothes that were worn in rock bands such as the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, or even The Beatles. Because of this, a great many people began to dress in these styles and designs.

Western clothing during this time also showed a side of America that few people knew existed. Women would wear dresses which had ruffles, frills, and more patterns on them than they did previously. Men also began to wear more accessories, most notably, cowboy hats.

Because of the popularity of the Western wear for both men and women, there was no need for stores to have a wide variety of clothing. Stores simply began to stock the basics, as well as the basics plus Western wear for children and teenagers. They also began to offer unique clothing, such as American football helmets, for adults which had patches on them rather than stars.

For teens, jeans were a big item. Teenagers wore their very first pair of jeans when they were only in their early twenties. Although the jeans in this period were larger and generally heavier, there were a lot of options available for those who were looking for something lighter, as well. The jeans of the eighties were thinner and almost corduroy, and the accompanying belt made them even more appealing. Also, these jeans tended to have a shorter rise so that the legs were not over the waistline.

During the nineties, however, the fashion trends began to change. The younger generation, especially the males, wanted to wear more accessories, including watches, jewelry and shoes. At the same time, the females of the group also wanted more freedom, such as wearing longer skirts, with shorter tops. Also, there were more women wearing leather, rather than the traditional cowgirl leather. These changes, coupled with the presence of more people wearing accessories, helped to change the face of the fashion industry.

The fashion industry, particularly for teens, has been following the trends that have developed over time. In this period, the typical jeans that were worn during the seventies, with the zipper up at the front and the belt to the side, were no longer being used. Instead, the new styles called “Americanized” jeans, which featured elasticized cuffs and a straight style with the zipper up the backside. This change, combined with an increase in “laid back” clothing styles, resulted in a change in the overall look of the Western wear. Although cowboy boots and cowboy hats are still popular, jeans have taken on a more mature look, complete with dyes, beads and vinyl – giving jeans a “high fashion” look. Jeans are now often found in a variety of colors and styles.

Women's western fashions have also changed over the years. During the eighties, women's jeans were often more fitted. The fashion focus was on wide leg pants with high waisted tops. However, in the nineties, women's clothing became more casual. The skirt was omitted from most fashionable jeans, opting instead for shorter skirts, which had higher collars and were often adorned with rhinestones and beads. Today, jeans have become part of the formal Western fashion, complete with detailed stitching and colorful designs on the legs.

Today, there are still those who love the old retro Western wear, especially those who are located in the western regions of the United States. With the popularity of denim jeans and cowgirl boots, you can bet that there will be a revival of the old fashions. So, if you are a fan of the old ways, don't let go. Remember when it was “back in its day” that the cowboy really did ride rough.
