The Real Reason Behind Old Fashioned Sugar | old fashioned sugar

When it comes to old fashion sugar cookies, nothing tops the delicious recipe for the classic “Chocolate Chip” cookies. These are a unique mix of flour, sugar and butter that are cooked until they form a soft ball. They are then cut into shapes with a cookie cutter and served at any party. These cookies are a classic example of a simple treat that can be made in your own kitchen and delivered to your guests.

The original recipe for the “Chocolate Chip” cookies is somewhat difficult to follow. If you haven't had a chance to bake one yet, you may want to start off with a recipe that doesn't require the use of an electric cookie set. There is no need to purchase this equipment, though, as you can bake these cookies just as well from a standard box mix. The cookie cutter is really the only part of this recipe that needs special attention. You will need to get a cookie cutter with a round base rather than a heart shaped one as these cookies are usually topped with a large chocolate chip. Using one of these heart-shaped cookie cutters will make it much easier for you to create a round cookie cutter.

When it comes to the recipe, the important thing is to not over cook the cookies. The traditional recipe is very forgiving when it comes to overheating. However, if you are unsure, do not over-bake the cookies. When they are ready, place them in a cookie sheet and allow them to cool. After they have cooled completely, you can begin the filling process. The best way to fill the cookies is to melt the butter and mix in the sugar and spices until they form a smooth paste. You can either mix in the filling at room temperature or you can mix in the ingredients before letting them cool.

If you decide to use real sugar in your cookies, do not melt the entire amount. You may end up having too much left over and this will make your cookies difficult to eat. Instead, use a pinch of real sugar to add to the dough. If you are not sure about this, you can leave about a teaspoon of real sugar in your dough and try to see what works.

Once you have your recipe down pat, you are ready to roll out the dough. Use a cookie cutter to make circles. You will want to alternate back and forth to make sure the shape of the cookie will look right. Once you have all your circles completed, remove the cookie cutter and set them aside to let them cool.

Once they have cooled completely, you can begin to decorate your cookies with the chocolate chips. You will want to use small chocolate chips to cover the edges of the cookies and then you can fill them in with a mixture of real sugar and melted chocolate chips.
