80s glam rock is all about bright, bold colors, lots of hair glitter and, of course, the killer outfits. In fact, the fashion for this decade was all about being 'Glam'! There were plenty of bright colors, such as neon pink, lime green, bright yellow, red, turquoise blue and so many others. You could be a cheerleader for the Football Team or a rock star – you just had to have the right clothing and accessories to make it look like you belonged to that era. This also explains why this era gave birth to some of the best and most popular rock songs of all time. Just watch any song from the 1980s rock opera Ramble On and you'll get a clear picture of what I'm talking about.
This decade gave us some of the sexiest designs in the fashion world. Women's dresses went from chic and sweet to racy and downright wild. Plus, it made the men go gaga over her. This is because the clothes flaunted in the fashion industry during this period really showed off a side of women that was not shown off in previous decades. This included the sexiest dresses, the craziest make-up artistry and the wildest hairstyles.
For those who are into rock music and rock women's fashion, this decade defined the birth of rock and roll. Women's rock hair style was especially memorable during this time. This is because this particular look was quite daring and sexy at the same time. Of course, there were plenty of great rock music acts who helped fuel the rock revolution even further.
For instance, there was Queen Victoria who wore an almost knee-length brown hair style that looked quite fashionable. Queen Victoria wasn't the only rock star who wore funky clothing; the band She & Him had also created quite an interesting and stylish image for women's rock music fashion at this time. Another rock star who is oftentimes pictured wearing very unique and eye-striking clothing is Michael Jackson. His unique clothing styles during his career also had a strong influence on the fashion trends during this time.
The late seventies and the early eighties saw a massive change in the fashion of women's fashion. This was largely due to the fact that urban and pop music took center stage. Women's rock hair styles also became much more diverse and creative during these years. The look that was common during the early seventies was often associated with loud and funky clothing items. However, more conservative women found the edgier clothing styles quite attractive as well.
In fact, there were more women flocking to rock music concerts during this period than during any other time in history. This can be attributed to the fact that the music was very powerful and bold. It tapped into a primal and primitive desire that women held within themselves. That desire became very visible in the rock hairstyles of that time.
The late sixties and the early seventies saw a new surge of interest in women's rock clothing. Part of this was born out of necessity. The other side of this was the advent of such fashion accessories as headbands, jewelry, and sunglasses. These items served to emphasize the edgier image that women's rock music had adopted. Accessory designers also capitalized on this by creating stunning and creative headbands and bracelets.
Of course, there was still plenty of room for women's fashion in the rock community. Rock musicians continued to wear accessories that highlighting the natural beauty that they exuded. The secret was no longer for them to hide behind outrageous outfits. They were now becoming well-known for the bold designs and colors that they chose to wear. The 80s glam rock fashion of the times is as popular today as it was years ago, and it continues to be an important part of the rock/pop/hip-hop culture.
