Seven Moments To Remember From Stranger Things Fashion 9s | stranger things fashion 9s

The Stranger Things movie has been a sensation since it debuted in the summer of Netflix. The stream was only available in selected states, but people were still talking about it long after it ended. Based on the successful book by Michael Crichton, The Stranger Things picks up six years after the events of the first film. Although it is already considered a blockbuster, some are still looking for the other Stranger Things movies to come out. While we may never know where the series will take place, here are some of the stranger things from the book that have already been made into movies or television specials.

The Day the Earth Stood Still: This is the first time the story of Will Graham really gets to the point where he realizes there's something out of the ordinary going on around him. As strange events keep happening, Graham, his friend, and even his teacher, become convinced there is something seriously wrong with the world. Soon, strange cubes start appearing all over town, and Graham and his friends must join forces to figure out what is going on before they all become victims. With an entire school haunted by the entity, this is one of the more thrilling films of the summer.

The Saw films: While it wasn't part of the original trilogy, The Saw Franchise did bring the monster to the big screen and saw an original dark side to the man made monster. No, not the sort you see in the trailers. This version of the character was brutal and one of the most terrifying, as could be imagined. It didn't help that James Wan made a very good horror movie of it, but it is still worth seeing just to see how true to form Saw really is.

Fight Club: One of the more famous examples of the 80s, Fight Club has been cited as an example of the strange twisting of reality that happens when money becomes more important than people. One group becomes the top group of people in the country, and an entire group of people are put to work to fight them for the control of money. While it doesn't happen in real life (there's a whole industry devoted to dissecting this phenomenon), this film did lead to the birth of the Saw franchise. No matter how strange or unrealistic the story might be, it's interesting to see how these fables become the genre they are.

The Exorcist: Even though the Exorcist is probably the most well known oddity of the decade, it is one of the most terrifying. What began as a lowly janitorial staff writer for a Catholic church becomes a possession, and an effort to save the lives of many more people. A classic psychological horror film The Exorcist ranks as a definite must-see movie.

Edward Scissorhands: One of the most enduring stories of the decade, Edward Scissorhands makes a great case study in how strange things can happen in the world of fashion. Young lad Michael Knightly (Zac Efron) suddenly finds himself the star of the photography department at a trendy salon. Little do he and his friends know that they're treading dangerous waters, as their new employer is a notorious con artist and women trafficker with a penchant for picking up young girls. With the help of a disreputable fashion photographer (Jared Rushton), Michael ends up on the path of the most famous man in the city.

The Squidward Kids: This film spawned the infamous “Yuk!” poster which has been seen by millions ever since. Five elementary school-aged children begin to experience strange dreams involving their bodies being eaten away by monsters under their beds. When their grandmother (Lori Singer) demands that they seek professional help, they go to a secluded cabin for help. Once there, they discover something even scarier than the dreams: three small children have been placed safely in a room with a glowing blue barrier blocking out the rest of the world.

The Shining: One of the most notorious horror films of all time, The Shining picks up after the events of the previous film, Pathos. Jim Carrey plays a hotel clerk who lives across the street from an old house where an unknown serial killer (Carrey's character) roams. When the serial killer strikes again, this time with two victims, the police are powerless to stop him. Jim Carrey flees the scene, never to be seen again. He returns years later, now a retired science teacher, with a suitcase and a list of items to get rid of…
