10s Fashion Designers Will Be A Thing Of The Past And Here’s Why | 10s fashion designers

The styles and trends brought by the fashion designers of the 1980s can be termed as a major turning point in the history of fashion designing. This was a period where designers were experimenting with new materials, patterns and colours, besides reviving the classics they had already designed many years before. The result was a variety of ensembles that could only be equaled or better than those created earlier.

During this period there was a significant change in the design methodology followed by most of the fashion designers. The concept of block designing became popular and many designers began using small blocks of colour to create new patterns. They would use one colour for the topmost layer of their clothes, and the rest of the clothes would be in a contrasting shade. The blocks of different colours thus served to suggest movement. It was also during this era when fashion started focusing more on individual styles instead of following the designs of larger clothes. This trend proved extremely popular among women, who felt that they had the freedom to choose and create their own style without being limited by what was considered as the 'in' style.

Women also found it easier to experiment with the clothes made from synthetic materials. Silk was the most popular of these fabrics and it was also possible to come up with complex designs out of its fibres. Polyester was the next big thing and allowed women to experiment with combining different colours and textures, making clothes more wearable and lighter. Finally, the introduction of nylon allowed the designers to experiment with complex and intricate patterns. These were coupled with the lightweight yet durable material that made these clothes even more attractive.

The 1980s also saw the introduction of coloured clothing, which was a bold move in fashion at that time. The bright colours gave a sense of energy and zest to the clothes, which were mostly black or grey. However, some designers also experimented with bold prints that were a landmark in fashion. It also allowed them to look unique by choosing something that was different and unusual.

Another important trend that emerged was the embracing of the European look. This involved the use of geometric patterns and the use of accessories from European fashion. However, it was accompanied by western styles, such as cowboy and beadwork. Some designers also adopted Eastern motifs and designs, using them in the form of embroidery. These were often combined with printed motifs and beads. Women's clothing that followed this trend were called European-inspired or European-influenced, and tended to be more conservative in design.

Urban and minimalist designs dominated the market during the decade. Urban fashion tended to be loud and bold, with bright colours and bright patterns and designs. It also included loud and strong prints, vibrant and contrast colours, and unique prints and textures. Minimalists, on the other hand, focused on the simplicity of a garment, its construction, and its layering. They rejected busy patterns and favoured simple lines and simple colours.
