10 Reasons You Should Fall In Love With Old Fashioned Oyster Dressing | old fashioned oyster dressing

Old Fashioned Oyster dressing is something that many people like to use in their cooking. There is an easy way to make this dressing and it is not at all difficult. All you need is a bowl of cold water and a little bit of oyster sauce. The oyster sauce will create the base of your dressing. Now all you have to do is put the bowl of water on the counter and then add the oyster sauce. You simply have to let it soak for about five minutes so that all the bacteria have been killed and then you can get to go with the dinner.

This is such a wonderful dressing. You can use it on just about any kind of meat or fish and it goes great with certain vegetables as well. For a long time I used this same dressing with chicken and it was always a hit. But I recently added salmon to my menu and the salmon tasted better with the Old Fashioned version. So, it goes well with salmon or just about any fish that you would like to try. And, it is really easy to make.

I also wanted to share this with you because I discovered a very enjoyable way to season my fish, pork and chicken. It is called Gourmet Hot Sauce and it is a wonderful product that makes every meal more delicious. My family loves it and one night we were expecting guests but had never made this particular Old Fashioned Oyster dressing until we had a chance to test it. What we found was that it went perfectly with the meal and it was even better than the restaurant version.

What is interesting about this dressing is that it is based on an old fashioned recipe. Many years ago this was done by a chef named fryeur who was working in the French Quarter of New Orleans. He would take oysters and create a roux that was made from the oyster itself along with flour and a little bit of butter. Then he would add the chicken or pork and season it with a little bit of Cajun spices, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper to it. He would then wrap it up in aluminum foil and let it cool and then cut it into little cubes and then serve it up on the table.

The only problem with this old-fashioned dressing is that the price for a pound of shrimp was rather back then and many people simply could not afford it. However, since I live out on the bayous in Louisiana, this specialty had to have been available. So, I started trying to recreate it. I have been making Gourmet Hot Sauce with shrimp and whitefish for quite some time and have come up with a wonderful blend that not only has the hot taste but also the texture that many people love.

Gourmet Hot Sauce also comes in a can so that you can have it on hand whenever you need it. I love it on just about any kind of seafood that you would put it on. Just remember though, that it usually doesn't taste as good if you have diners coming to eat with you. That is to be expected though as this is an improvisational cooking style. In other words, if you don't have someone around to sample the Gourmet Hot Sauce, well, it is still an old fashioned recipe that works!
